22 year old right sided or central defender who originally joined United in August 2007 on a three month loan deal from Coca-Cola League 2 side Wycombe Wanderers. Made his debut in the Clubs inaugural fixture at Lewes that same month.
When released by the Chairboys during the summer of 2008, Manager Garry Haylock responded quickly to secure his services in a bid to shore up the previously porous United defence.
Having captained the side regularly during the first part of the season, Tom officially became first team captain in December 2008 when Nevin Saroya departed for Maidenhead United.
An excellent personal season culminated in Tom lifting the Blue Square South play-off trophy aloft at the Beveree in May 2009 quickly followed by being voted the Club's Player of the Year 2008/09.
Earned a first England cap in September
2009 playing for the England C team in a friendly away in Hungary.
