32-year-old striker who arrived at Church Road in November 2009 loan from fellow Blue Square Premier side Luton Town, a deal that has now been extended until the end of the season.

Steve joined the Hatters in the summer but has only managed seven appearances in that time, scoring twice, both in the FA Cup First Round 3-3 draw with Rochdale. Basham was released by Exeter City in the summer having helped the Grecians to promotion in their first season back in the Football League last term featuring 24 times in League Two. He had also played thirty league games the previous season for the Devon club in the Blue Square Premier.

He began as a Trainee at his hometown club Southampton making a total of 19 Premier league appearances. He spent spells on loan at Wrexham and Preston North End, before signing for the latter for three years in 1999. Basham joined Oxford United in the summer of 2002 going on to make nearly 200 first team appearances in five years in both League Two and the Conference before signing for Exeter in July 2007.
